The Ca’Sagredo Hotel – identifiable by its faded pink-hue façade and opulent interiors, now plays host to a new eye-catching symbol. The outer walls of this 42-room boutique property have received a helping hand from Lorenzo Quinn, whose statement sculpture, Support, has been produced in conjunction with the Venice Biennale, and will remain outside the hotel until the end of November.

Quinn’s piece speaks of the dangers of climate change on the environment and the impending threat this poses to the perennially sinking city. While Support adds a contemporary edge to the traditional property, the customary production method pays homage to its surroundings and to a time gone-by.
