To truly experience an ancient city, you’d journey back to its heyday. While an escapade may not take you back two millennia, there is a novel way of stepping back into 1947. Enter Tramjazz; a vintage cable car turned dining experience turned big band affair, whisking you around the sights and sounds of Rome, created in association with the BRECCE, a non-profit organisation promoting art, music and culture throughout the city.
The evening begins at 9 pm sharp, with guests boarding the cable car outside the Piazza di Porta Maggiore. The evening’s entertainment (a rotation of some of the city’s most reputable jazz musicians) perform from a stage in the middle of the carriage, setting the pace for the evening ahead – seeing historic Roman sites from a new perspective.
Il San Michele, a family-run establishment where quality ingredients from the Lazio region take centre stage, prepare the dinner, which is served as the tram parks outside the Coliseum.
