Royal monarchs, papal powers, honourable statesmen; the Presidential Train held a decades-long tradition of welcoming and transporting the world’s nobility since its construction in 1890.
Continuing its dignified mission until the 1970s, it was then decommissioned and left to be admired by locomotive enthusiasts. The train has since been given a new lease of life; rescued from its soon-to-be cemented relic status. In 2010, The Presidential Train relaunched as a living time capsule, taking guests on a journey through a land untouched by time.
Embarking from Porto, Michelin-starred chefs create a fine dining experience to showcase the best of the region’s ingredients, which are artfully paired with award-winning local wines.
