Norway
There are places that promise seclusion and to fend off all the distractions of the world… Then there’s Svinøy Lighthouse. Located on an island off Norway’s coast, the lighthouse guards the Norwegian Sea. Storms hit the island with waves taller than the island itself, and access is restricted to a few helicopter trips each year: 4 to be exact.

If you yearn for solitude and to be cut off from the world, you can stay at the lighthouse and retrieve the attention, the leisure and the freedom that have been robbed us by the modern world. For the traveller who yearns to be alone with their own thoughts, there is no better way to do it that with the whole ocean at your feet, master of your own island.
