Italy
Cast your mind to the region of southern Italy – striking landscapes, dramatic cliff faces, sun-ripened produce and the freshest seafood you could imagine. Few places embody this imagery quite as well as Ristorante Hotel Grotta Palazzese – a restaurant set inside a cliff face of the Puglian landscape, underneath a five-star hotel.

Continuing its dignified mission until the 1970s, it was then decommissioned and left to be admired by locomotive enthusiasts. The train has since been given a new lease of life; rescued from its soon-to-be cemented relic status. In 2010, The Presidential Train relaunched as a living time capsule, taking guests on a journey through a land untouched by time.
